The mission of the Town of Davie Aquatic Division is to ensure the safety of all swimmers, users, and guests who utilize the Towns aquatic facilities. Additionally, it is our goal to educate the public on water safety, drowning prevention, and to keep our "little ones" safe in and around the water through swim lessons, prevention, and education. #SafeBy4

Meet your Aquatics Staff: Collectively Aquatic staff has over 50 years experience in Lifeguarding and Swim Lesson Instruction
Aquatics Coordinator, Rochelle Kelvos: I am proud to say that I have has 24 years of service with the Town overseeing the Aquatics Division. I studied Aquatic Engineering and I am currently a LGI, WSI, AFO, plus a proud member of the Association of Aquatic Professionals. Moreover, I am currently working on my professional designation as an Aquatics Professional AQP. My aquatics team was recognized by Aquatic International Magazine for winning the 2017 Summer Lifeguard Challenge. Additionally, we conducted over 17,000 swim lessons to the children of Davie as well as surrounding areas this past fiscal year. In 2015, with the Fire Chief of Davie, we started and implemented the#SAFERBY4 campaign in the Town of Davie. This campaign started as water safety education program and has grown to be the incentive of some astounding aquatic programs.

Crew Leader Boris Gorrita: I have been in Aquatics for 10 years as lifeguard, swim instructor, coordinator and supervisor. Currently, I am finishing up my contract with the U.S Army Reserve and wish to retire with the Town of Davie. My goal is to ensure patron safety, provide excellent customer service and make sure that our lifeguard team is ready for anything.
