FAU Small Business Development Center
The Town of Davie is partnering with the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to launch a business development program.
The program’s goal is to provide Davie business owners with access to various resources to help them grow and succeed during and after COVID-19. SBDC works with all stages of a business – from a pre-venture business (exploring business feasibility) to an established business (in business over three years).
SBDC’s team provides one-on-one consultations, virtual and in-person, to help businesses gain access to capital, increase sales, develop, and implement successful business plans, and provide access to training. The services are provided at no cost and are confidential.
The SBDC team is trained and equipped to address a variety of business needs, regardless of trade or sector. SBDC offers specialized services offered by government contracting, virtual marketing plans, re-opening business plans, growth accelerations, business emergency preparedness plans, certified business valuations, and Organizational Development (DiSC) Assessments.
Throughout the crisis, SBDCs have been working on the front lines with small businesses to help them access economic assistance to help maintain payroll, address urgent operational needs, and keep Davie businesses open, and residents employed.
