Our Department

The Davie Fire Rescue Department has been proudly serving our community since 1972 and the Town of Southwest Ranches since 2012. We are here to provide essential Fire Rescue Services to over 106,000 residents across our 48-square-mile area, according to the 2020 U.S. Census. Our community is quite diverse, ranging from residential neighborhoods to businesses, industries, and protected open spaces. Moreover, we're at the heart of higher education as the South Florida Educational Center is based here. Navigating our Town can be challenging with major roadways like the Florida Turnpike, I-595, and I-75 running through, which adds complexity to ensuring safe and efficient Fire Rescue emergency responses.

Our primary focus is on delivering top-notch fire and emergency medical services to all our residents, businesses, students, and visitors. We are dedicated to both responding to current emergencies and maintaining the skills required to prevent and manage fires, provide emergency medical care, and educate our community about health and safety matters. This mission demands ongoing awareness and rigorous training.

Our Fire & Life Safety Division offers a range of vital services. We collaborate with developers and contractors to guarantee that new projects in town adhere to safety codes. Furthermore, we play a role throughout the planning and construction phases, and conduct regular inspections throughout the year to ensure ongoing compliance and safety for our community. The Fire Rescue Department is a full-service professional organization committed to minimizing risks to life and property in our community. We strategically station emergency vehicles across our town in fire stations, ensuring 24/7 coverage every day of the week. Your safety is our priority, and we are here to serve you.
