Chess for Kids
Improve your child's self confidence, imagination, concentration and intuition, logical and critical thinking and reasoning skills. Classes are held on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center. Visit the Chess Art website for more information.
This is Improv
For beginners and advanced players. Learn improv and get confident! Our improv class introduces students to fundamental concepts of improv like “Yes, And.” Through group exercises and games, students will rehearse spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment, taking risks, and other basic building blocks of improvisation, all in a supportive environment that embraces the idea of trusting yourself and failing joyfully. As the classes progress, students also learn scene work which prepares them for performance.
Our classes follow a syllabus of training; though, you may enter the class at any time. Class showcases are performed at the end of the trimester (Fall, Spring, Summer). Enroll Here
Teen Improv
Teen improv classes teach skills important for acting and life. Teen classes online teach skills important for acting and life including adaptation, leadership, and working with others through group exercises and games. As the classes progress, students also learn scene work which prepares them for performance. No experience is necessary.
Ages 13-17

Kids Improv
Give your kids the chance to learn, interact, and play! Time for some productive play. Kids classes give your kids a chance to learn games, learn to actively listen, and communicate. Our hour-long classes have your kids learn with other kids under the instruction of This Is Improv's professional performers and writers. Through group exercises and games, students will rehearse spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment, taking risks, and other basic building blocks of improvisation.
Ages 8-12

Chinese Language

Clogging
The South Florida Cloggers are known throughout the Southeast region of the United States. Come join this high-energy group that meets at Robbins Lodge located at 4005 Hiatus Rd on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Karate
Learn a combination of several fighting basics to accomplish a well-rounded self-defense, balance, self-esteem and exercise program.
