In an effort to provide the most effective level of service to our community, the Davie Police Department participates in The Federal Bureau of Investigations Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. The UCR Program compiles crime statistics using a national standardized tiered methodology to quantifying crime classifications.

The value of crime statistics is to collect data as a measurable comparison, to prevent crime, educate the community, allocate police resources, and manage budgets. The Crime Analysis Unit utilizes a variety of research techniques and technologies to collect, process, and analyze crime statistics. The timely collection of statistical data on crime, arrests, traffic enforcement, and calls for service provides insight for law enforcement to address identifiable issues to keep our community safe.
