Portions of Davie and Cooper City will be Sprayed for Adult Mosquitos
Please see below the information from Broward County regarding aerial mosquito spraying over parts of Davie and Cooper City tomorrow, September 26:
BROWARD COUNTY, FL- The Mosquito Control Section will spray for adult mosquitoes over parts of Davie and Cooper City on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, weather permitting.
This aerial adulticide spraying is targeting nuisance mosquitoes usually associated with heavy rains during the summer months, and the amount of rainfall associated with Hurricane Irma. It is not to eliminate mosquitoes carrying the Zika virus. The County is spraying because it has received many spray requests from residents and businesses in these cities.
The aerial spraying will be conducted 4:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Residents with breathing difficulties should remain indoors. People living in the area who have registered with the State to be alerted prior to spraying will be notified. Please see the map of the areas to be targeted.
Broward County Mosquito Control Section sprays areas of the County by truck and plane, based on requests received from residents. To request service online, complete the Mosquito Spray Request Form or call 954-765-4062.
Residents are the first line of defense when it comes to combating any mosquito. You'll find detailed information here or you can visit our website.
