TOWN OF DAVIE VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AND CLOSURES
No impacts to solid waste services on Nov. 11, 2022
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Ceremony in honor of all military personnel who served in the U.S. Armed Forces on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Veterans Park, 5750 SW 39th Street, beginning at 10 a.m.
Admission is free and seating will be available for attendees. The ceremony will feature guest speakers, honor guard, Armed Forces medley and more to thank veterans for their sacrifice and service. A light lunch will also be served after the ceremony.
Parking Information:
Please note that limited parking will be available onsite at Veterans Park. Satellite parking will be made available at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4201 Rodeo Way. A shuttle bus will transport attendees to the ceremony at Veterans Park and back to the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.

Solid Waste Services
Garbage and bulk trash collection services will operate on a normal schedule.
Town Closures
In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, Town municipal offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Municipal offices will resume regular operating hours on Nov. 14, 2022.
Please take note of the following Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facilities hours that will be modified for this day:
- Pine Island Fitness Center will open from 5 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
- Pine Island Aquatic Center will open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- The Pine Island Multipurpose Center will be closed.
- Programmed sports activities will not occur on this day.
- All parks will be open.
