TOWN OF DAVIE HOSTS ITS ANNUAL HIPPITY HOPPITY AND SPLASH-AND-DASH EGG HUNT ON SATURDAY, APRIL 8, 2023
DAVIE, Fla. –The Town of Davie will host its annual Hippity Hoppity Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Davie Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Rd.
The egg hunt is set to commence promptly at 10 a.m. for children ages 0-11 years old. Groups will be divided into age-appropriate fields for the hunts. Parents will be allowed to participate on the fields with the 0-2-year-old age group only. Prizes will be awarded for special eggs found throughout the hunt. Residents interested in attending are encouraged to come early.
A host of free family-friendly activities including a petting farm, live performances by local groups, train rides, inflatable rides and more will be available for all to enjoy. Additional activities will be available for purchase throughout the event such as pictures with Peter Cottontail, food and other vendor items.
Splash-and-Dash Egg Hunt
The Splash-and-Dash Egg Hunt will be held at the Pine Island Aquatics Center, 3800 SW 92nd Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-registration for the event is encouraged as space is limited to the first 100 participants.
Hop on over to meet the Easter Bunny, gather a basket full of eggs in the pool and enjoy arts and crafts, face painting and more. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.
The cost to participate in this event is $5 per child. Every half hour, our lifeguards will toss 500 eggs in the pool for children to collect. Each participating child will also receive a gift bag of treats.
Age Groups and Times:
Ages 2 and under 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Kiddie Pool/Ramp)
Ages 6 and under 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Ages 7 to 12 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please note that children unable to swim the width of the pool must be accompanied by an adult.
