SELECT TOWN PARKS AND TRAILS CLOSED

Several parks and trails closed today, April 13, 2023

DAVIE, FL – As a result of the heavy and consistent rainfall received over the past few days, the Town of Davie has closed several of its parks due to water settling and inaccessibility to these facilities.

After a rapid impact assessment by the Town this morning, the following Davie parks are closed today, April 13, 2023, until further notice:

  •  Berman Park, 5801 Southwest 58th Avenue
  • Lange Park, 6550 SW 47th Street
  • Liberty Park, 13500 SW 8th Street
  • Oakhill Equestrian Park, 3100 SW 130th Avenue

Sections of other Town parks and trails are closed until the water has receded:

  •  South section of Sunny Lake Park, 5300 Griffin Road
  • Trails at Robbins, 4005 Hiatus Road
  • East section of Peaceful Ridge, 2950 Frontage Rd

The Town will valuate the closed parks and trails as the day progresses to determine whether they can be reopened and will provide updates as they become available.

As you venture out to visit our parks and facilities, please do not enter areas where there is standing water. Puddles and standing water could contain hidden dangers, including snakes, other wildlife, broken glass, and other sharp objects.

For more information, please visit www.davie-fl.gov or call the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department at 954-797-1145.
