WEATHER EVENT UPDATES:

PARK CLOSURES; HORSE REFUGE SITE IS OPEN


DAVIE, Fla. – As the Town of Davie continues its efforts to resume normal park operations after the rain impacts, please take note of the changes to the Town’s operations for today, April 15, 2023. 

Parks Closures Updates

After a rapid impact assessment by the Town this morning, the following Davie parks are closed today, April 15, 2023, until further notice:

  • Lange Park, 6550 SW 47th Street
  • Reflections Park, 4200 Alpine Woods Road

 

Sections of other Town parks and trails are closed until the water has receded:

·      South section of Sunny Lake Park, 5300 Griffin Road

·      Trails at Robbins, 4005 Hiatus Road

  • East section of Peaceful Ridge, 2950 Frontage Rd
  • North trail at Wolf Lake Park, 5400 SW 76th Avenue
  • North lake trail at Silver Lake Park, 5695 SW 52nd Avenue

The following Playgrounds are closed due to standing water:

  • Bamford Sports Complex, 3801 S. Pine Island Road
  • Lange Park, 6550 SW 47th Street
  • Liberty Park, 13500 SW 8th Street
  • Oakhill Park, 3100 SW 130th Avenue
  • Reflections Park, 4200 Alpine Woods Road
  • Shenandoah Park playground near entrance (playground near shelter is open), 14601 SW 14th St.

 

Note: All parks are open for passive use only until further notice.  All grass sports fields remain closed.

 

Horse Refuge Program

The Town’s Horse Refuge Program site is now open for Davie residents whose horse stalls may have been significantly impacted by the recent weather event. To participate, individuals must register by completing a Horse Refuge Registration Form before the site reaches capacity. A limited number of animals can be accommodated. Stallions will not be permitted.
