COVID-19 UPDATE #2:
TOWN OF DAVIE DECLARES LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
DAVIE, Fla. On Friday, March 13, 2020, at 2 p.m., the Town of Davie proclaimed a local state of emergency to take precautionary measures to mitigate the effects of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Calling a state of emergency is an important factor to receive state and federal reimbursement for emergency-related expenses.
This proclamation will help ensure the Town continuity of essential operations in response to this emerging public health threat. It authorizes the Town to initiate emergency powers and authorities vested under a local emergency ordinance. It also activates local emergency operations plans, mutual assistance compacts, and authorizes providing mutual aid assistance as needed.
