DAVIE, Fla. –The Town of Davie has issued a joint Safer-at-Home Emergency Order in collaboration with every Broward County municipality. This emergency order compliments Broward County Order 20-03 directing a Shelter-in-Place: Safer at Home Policy.
Today, Town Administrator Richard J. Lemack signed Emergency Regulations Order No. 2020-02, Safer-at-Home Order, ordering residents to stay home and within the entirety of their owned or rented property. The Safer-at-Home Order does not require residents to confine themselves to the interior of their homes. Residents may make use of all exterior portions of their homes, such as patios, porches, yards, and driveways. The order takes effect on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 12:01 a.m.
Safer-at-Home means all residents are directed to stay at home as much as possible except in those circumstances outlined in Section 3 of the Emergency Order. No person shall travel or be on or upon any public right of way, including but not limited to, streets, canals, or sidewalks, within the boundaries of the Town of Davie.
All residents are urged to adhere to all preventive measures issued by health officials to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
