TOWN OF DAVIE GOVERNMENTAL OFFICE CLOSURES FOR MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY; VIRTUAL MEMORIAL DAY
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie’s governmental offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2020, in observance of the Memorial Day national holiday. There will be no changes to solid waste and bulk pick-up services.
The following Town parks will remain open for passive use, per Emergency Order 20-04:
- Bergeron Park – 1900 S. Nob Hill Rd
- East Davie Nature Park – 5350 SW 58th Ave
- Falcons Lea Park – 14900 Stirling Road
- James Ale Park – 6061 SW 36th Ct
- Joy Yoder Equestrian Park – 14150 SW 38th St
- Lange Park – 6550 SW 47th St
- Linear Park, along Orange Drive from US-441 to SW 154th Avenue
- Owls Lookout Park – SW 26th St. & Flamingo Rd
- Robbins Preserve – 4005 Hiatus Rd
- Shenandoah Park – 14601 SW 14th St
- Silver Lake Park – 5695 SW 52nd Ave
- Sunny Lake Bird Sanctuary – 5300 Griffin Rd
- Veterans Park – 5750 SW 39th St
- Westridge Park – 2900 SW 100th Ave
- Wolf Lake Park – 5400 SW 76th Ave
Some Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, nature centers, and natural areas will be open for passive use and limited recreational experiences. Check the Broward County COVID-19 Park Updates Web page for the latest openings and closings. The regional parks’ regular weekend and holiday gate fee ($1.50/person, ages 5 and under free) has been temporarily suspended. Restrictions based on CDC guidelines will be in effect and all patrons must carry a facial covering and use it when proper social distancing is not available.

Virtual Memorial Day

Guest speakers, including our very own Mayor Judy Paul, will hold a moment of silence to honor and remember all those who’ve sacrificed and served our country.
