TOWN OF DAVIE VETERANS DAY FACILITY CLOSURES;

SOLID WASTE SERVICES

 

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie governmental offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Our offices will resume normal operations on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

 

Town Park Information

All Town of Davie parks and open spaces are open for passive use. Hours of operation are referenced below:

  • Parks and open spaces will be open starting at 9 a.m. and closing at Sunset.  
  • Pine Island Park/Bamford Sports Complex is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Park restrooms will not be open. 

Operational changes still in effect at parks include the suspension of facility rentals, transactions at parks, youth and adult activities, sports programs, and activities at community centers. 

 

Residents and visitors are encouraged to continue adhering to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines on face coverings as well as maintaining at least a six-feet distance from individuals outside of their party. Restrictions for the parks include limited active and passive uses by individuals and families and prohibiting the gathering of groups larger than ten. 

 

Davie park amenities open for use on the holiday:

  • Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center will be open from 5 a.m. to11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tennis courts are open for singles and doubles play only. Tennis courts at Pine Island Park/Bamford Sports Complex are closed for resurfacing.
  • Pickleball courts are open for singles and doubles play only.
  • Volleyball courts are open for singles and doubles play only.

 

The following recreation facilities and parks will be closed for the holiday:

  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center

Solid Waste Services

Trash, recycling, and bulk trash collection services will occur on the normal schedule.
