MEMORIAL DAY OFFICE CLOSURES; PARADE AND CEREMONY; SOLID WASTE SERVICES

   

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie governmental offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, 2021, in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Municipal offices will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. 

Park Information 

  • All Town parks, playgrounds, and restrooms will be open from 9 a.m. to sunset.
  • The Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Please note that reservation is required for the Davie Aquatics Center. To make reservations, please call 954-327-3926.
  • The Pine Island Multipurpose Center will be closed.

Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

The Town of Davie and the Boy Scouts of America will host the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 31, 2021, from 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. to honor the countless service men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice to secure our freedom.

The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. and will step off from the Davie Fire Administration building located at 6901 Orange Drive, then proceed east on Orange Drive to SW 65th Way, and then north to the Davie Arena at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4201 Rodeo Way, Davie, FL, 33314. The ceremony is anticipated to begin at 11 a.m.


Solid Waste Services 

Garbage, recycling, and bulk trash collection services will operate on normal schedule. If you have any questions about your service, please contact Waste Management at 954-974-7500 or www.wm.com.

As a reminder, beginning on June 1, 2021, the Town of Davie will be switching from Waste Management to Coastal Waste & Recycling for trash, recycling, and bulk pickup services.
