1. How can I get my report?

Call our records unit at 954-693-8220 to confirm the record is available. If so, you can come to the Department to pick it up, or request it by mail. If requesting a report by mail, you will need to send the fee along with a self addressed stamped envelope to:

Other police agencies may fax a request to us on their letter head.

2. What do I need to bring to pick up a Traffic Accident report?

Traffic accidents are public record after sixty days from the date of the accident. Florida State Statute 316.066 requires you to meet one of seven exemptions in order to receive an accident report before the sixty day limit. If requesting an accident by mail, and you meet one of the seven exemptions, you must include a notarized Accident Report Affidavit.

3. What is your fee schedule?

- Single sided copies (per page): $.15

- Double sided copies (per page): $.20

- Certified Documents (per page): $1 (plus copy fee) Video or Audio Tape

- Duplication: Estimated from $5 to $15

- Grid Search: Hourly labor charges plus copy fee

- Photograph Reproduction from negative: Estimated from $.35 to $15 per photo

- Research Service: Hourly labor charge plus copy fee

4. What do I need for a local background check?

We maintain Davie records only. To order a local background check you should reside, or be employed in the Town of Davie, past or presently. Please bring photo identification with you. The fee is $1.15 (copy fee.) There may be an additional fee for extensive background checks.

5. How do I find out the disposition of my case?

To acquire this information you must contact the State Attorney's Office at 954-831-6600.

6. How do I get information on my parking ticket, and how do I pay for it?

Broward Clerk website.
